It’s better to let it how it is, to profit from the files we provide, so that they will always be the same if we update them and you download them again. I do not recommend doing this, it would be against the pattern: If everything is simply based on QWER-ASDF-YXCV why would you change something?

HOW TO SET UP HOTKEYS ON G510 SOFTWARE
You can create profiles in the Logitech Gaming Software for each of these games, and then program your G keys to be 1-0, Shift1-0, Ctrl1-0, etc. You press 1-0 to activate the first toolbar, shift-1 to shift-0 for the second, etc. Or if you want to reload a game until they give you the Hyperion that you want: F10 (load) PgDn (last game) Enter, wait 10s, C (comms) 4 1 1 (yes Boron I have the 25 mil give me my ship), \ (docked ships) Down Arrow (first ship) I (info) PgDn PgDn Up Up Up Up Up (scrolls down so I can see the ship speed).ĮDIT: In other games, you get toolbars with icons (WoW or SWTOR for example). For example, you have 10 ships and you want to name them TS.Transport 1 through 10, you can do that with a G key. I mostly use my keyboard to automate repetitive tasks. Piracy, for example, to launch your marines you need like 5 commands from the menu, and it's nice when you can program a G key to do all those 5 for you with one keypress.

Then you'll have to program the various G keys to do a combination of these keys, or the various menu options. You'll have to set up your keybinds in the game, as if you didn't have a programmable keyboard. Or, you can configure G7 to be a multikey: C 1 5 3, which will send that sequence (and the game will interpret it as Command Console, Navigation, Follow Me). For example, you can configure G14, G16, G17, G18 to be w a s d respectively. Then, you click on M1 M2 or M3 and you click with the mouse on any of the keys and record key strokes. This will make the X3AP profile load up whenever you start the game, so that the keys you set up are only for this game. You call it X3AP and you go and find the game executable file in the Steam folder. You click the G icon at the bottom and then click an empty box at the top to create a new game profile. You start the Logitech Gaming Software panel that you installed with the keyboard. If you have them empty that means you press them and nothing happens, they don't send any keypresses to Windows.
